I am a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher since 2015. In 2016 and 2017 I went to Rishikesh, India to practice yoga in an ashram. In 2017 – 2018 I followed the 300 hour vinyasa yoga teacher training at AntwerpYoga. Since then, I’ve been teaching at yoga studios, gyms, companies and universities. Click here to see my resume.
I teach dynamic yoga classes in the lineage of Krishnamacharya, who developed the contemporary vinyasa yoga style. My personal practice is ashtanga yoga as taught by Sri k. Pattabhi Jois.
A class is built around an intention or topic such as anatomy (hip openers, movements of the spine,.), a feeling (grounding, energising,..), a peak pose or specific needs (office yoga, athletes, seniors, ..). I create an intelligently sequenced yoga class combined with conscious breathing.
Every class is accessible to all levels. For every pose different options are shown and if necessary hands-on adjustments will be made.
Typically, we start with a gentle warm-up and/or breathing exercises (‘pranayama’), move into sun salutations, a warrior sequence and balancing, core strengthening poses, the peak pose, a cool-down and a final meditation and/or breathing exercises. During the class I explain how to safely get into the pose and where to focus on while you are in the pose.
I am a yoga teacher from Antwerpen, België and I prefer teaching jobs in or near the city centre. Please contact me via firstname.lastname@example.org for pricing and details.
